If last week was any indication, March will indeed come in like a lion.
Last week began the year of the Tiger in the Chinese calendar. Then on Friday, Tiger apologized.
Washington is closed for four days due to fierce winter storms and piles of snow --- and the Dow rallies nearly 200 points.
Sinister forces are at work in both the economy and financial markets.
Could the ’09 rally be nothing more than a winter reprieve and the ushering in of the ’10 calendar year will ultimately remind us that the bear market is still very much with us?
We may have gotten our answer posed last week with the thud heard on Wall Street this week
The economic data continues to disappoint, although may are looking at the bright side (at least it is not as bad as last year!).
New Year, same tune!
It is, as if on cue, the snow fell in the northern climes quieting the hustle and bustle of the big city and making everything peaceful and serene.
